Summer of Hip Hop
This month we had our summer of hip hop with its dance battles again. The house battle this year was a little breakthrough for me as I finally managed to actually enjoy the battle and to not just be nervous. In case you never saw me dancing, here is a video just for 😬
I know, the AI hate topics almost feel like old news (at least in my bubble, as I tend to follow feeds that tend towards AI hate). Still, I found this article quite good as it consolidated a bunch of “lay off and rehire” or “lay-offs followed by regret” stories that just underlines one of the main problems I see with the AI topic. Managers, Human beings that think AI is actually intelligent and can make decisions for them, while it is just another chatbot that tells you what you want to hear, while having some other helpful generative tools. Similar to how Social Media algorithms of big tech platforms tend to show you what you like anyways, further pushing you into a corner and forgetting that the real world has way more to offer.
Well, most of the chatbot companies are still only alive due to their investment money. Let’s see for how much longer this works out.
The aftermath is a cool games related blog I am subscribed to for some time now. The “love” part really spoke to me, and also to the sad pile of never finished games in my steam library 😅. The hate part was just fun to read I will leave this quote here as bait for you
While, for obvious reasons, we cannot interview one to confirm this, I have to imagine that being a baby is terrible.
Books
Best part about the books of the months is that I don’t need to port them manually here, which is quite awesome. I think onde day I want to adjust a bit how the stuff is displayed, as I don’t need everything to start with “Review of …”, but until then, enjoy the current state
After the first book I was honestly very skeptical about this series. I had a hard time connecting/accepting/standing the main character. In this one, and I guess that's no spoiler, there is not just one main character, but many. And this gives this whole story so much more depth.
There is a lot of wisdom that Hank put in this book, and even though you will need to read through the first book, this second one is certainly worth it.
Yesterday, as I was getting closer towards the end, I was so captivated I read until half past 1 in the morning, completely forgetting the time. That's certainly a sign enough for me that this series is so far quite awesome 😄

I am not sure what to say. I already spoke out my love for this series in the past 2 reviews and it just continues. And it got me so hooked up I am not sure if I want to read something else until I can get my hands on the 4th part 😅
